I explore the intersection of mental well-being, ecological harmony, community cohesion, and marine conservation. I am a marine mammal ecologist by trade, and have a BS in Chemical Engineering. I employ creative storytelling methods to share the relevance of my research, and I hope to continue using my platform and privilege to create space for frequently unheard voices to share their own stories.
My research explores the temporal variations in humpback whale health (using body condition as a metric) along the Western Antarctic Peninsula. I am also investigating how increasing tourism activities along the peninsula might impact both short-term behavior at the individual level and long-term health at the population level.
